MEDICAL DIRECTOR & PRINCIPLE INVESTIGATOR:

Mohammed Bari, MD, Board Certified in Adult & Geriatric Psychiatry, with over 20 years of research experience.
 

SUB INVESTIGATORS:

We have 12 sub-investigators who are all board certified physicians in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Endocrinology, & General Medicine.

STAFFING:

We have specially trained Research Nurses on the unit at all times. We have 24-hour onsite physician coverage to support the unit. We work with the hospital Pharmacist and 2 Pharmacy Techs. Synergy study staff consists of 3 Nurse Coordinators, 2 Research Lab Techs, 2 Assistant Coordinators and 1-intake manager whose job is to recruit and coordinate all admissions. Our site includes Regulatory Department, Administration, and Transportation.

The hospital also provides full Laboratory, MICU, Cardiology, Radiology & General Medical support.

LOCATION & PHYSICAL PLANT:

The Early Phase Inpatient Center (EPIC) unit is located a 710 E. Grand Escondido, CA 92025.

The unit is 14 beds, all semi-private with full baths and in room amenities including TV, VCR and phone. The unit also has a large private patio. The unit is used exclusively for research. We also have excellent office space, which includes a separate monitoring area with phone, fax and DSL lines.
